Gift of Life Partnership - “every two seconds someone in America needs blood”

Challenge:
Every day, blood is required in hospitals, and emergency treatment facilities to help save the lives of motorcycle accident victims, patients with sickle cell, cancer and other diseases, as well as those undergoing surgeries. Through the CBS “Gift of Life” Partnership we can do our part to help bring hope and healing.

What:
A year round community initiative to help ensure that an adequate supply of blood related products and services are available to provide treatment for newborns, children and adults.

Who:
Partnership: The Columbus Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club, AD Farrow HD, American Red Cross, Ohio Sickle Cell & Health Assoc. and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Action:
Awareness Advocate, Blood Donation, Event Participation, and Health Screenings.

Goal:
“Each unit of blood donated can help as many as three lives”
